Την Κυριακή 13 Απριλίου 2014, πραγματοποιήθηκε η 38η απονομή των Βραβείων Λόρενς Ολίβιε, στο Royal Opera House του Λονδίνου, με μεγάλους νικητές τα έργα «Chimerica» και «The Book of Mormon».
Ο ταλαντούχος ηθοποιός Ρόρι Κινίαρ απέσπασε το βραβείο Ολιβιέ Πρώτου Ανδρικού Ρόλου για την ερμηνεία του ως Ιάγος στον «Οθέλλο», που ανέβασε ο Νίκολας Χάιτνερ στο Εθνικό Θέατρο της Βρετανίας. Ο ηθοποιός είχε τιμηθεί και το 2008, με το βραβείο Πρώτου Ανδρικού Ρόλου για την ερμηνεία του στο έργο «The Man of Mode».
Η Τζούντι Ντεντς και ο Τζουντ Λο, που ήταν τα πιο γνωστά καλλιτεχνικά ονόματα που διεκδικούσαν φέτος το βραβείο Ολίβιε, έφυγαν από την λαμπρή τελετή χωρίς κάποιο αγαλματίδιο.

Τα Βραβεία Λόρενς Ολίβιε, γνωστότερα παλαιότερα ως The Society of West End Theatre Awards, μετονομάστηκαν προς τιμήν του ηθοποιού Λόρενς Ολίβιε το 1984 και θεσμοθετήθηκαν το 1976. Τα βραβεία οργανώνονται από το Θέατρο Society of London στο Λονδίνο.
